Cicely lit a candle of hope for people throughout the world suffering from late stage disease, whether they themselves were ill, or a dearly loved family member. Moreover her faith, in God and her fellow man, inspired all who longed to do good in this world.

She was always interested in links between music, art, faith - I treasure this icon of the Resurrection which she bought when we were in Jerusalem from the Coptic monks who live on the dome of the Holy Sepulchre Church, and which she gifted to me in her will.
The candle base dates back to our holiday in Egypt- she was such a marvellous travelling companion.
