Jenny Chambers
I was a Ward Sister at St Christopher’s in the early 1970’s when I was advised to stop nursing on health grounds. However Cicely said ‘Would you like to be my PA? I think we could have fun’. I accepted and we did! The photograph was taken earlier when I was Sister Edward at St Thomas’. The calendar was given by a colleague from Hospice Casa Sperantei in Brasov, Romania and the boxes of files are from the Nightingale Fund Council. The two fulfilling roles I have in retirement were made possible by Cicely’s invitation in 1973.
